Salvatore's Of Elmont

We traveled from Staten Island twice to dine at Salvatore's, and it was definitely worth the drive. The food was exceptional—everything was fresh and delicious. It felt just like home. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff was excellent. We will definitely be returning!

The food was excellent, and it's clear that this Italian restaurant is very popular, as there was a wait to be seated. However, on this occasion, there was significant disorganization, and we ended up waiting over two hours for our food to arrive. The waitstaff were friendly, but they seemed quite disorganized.

The food was amazing! However, we had to wait 3.5 hours to receive our appetizers, main course, and dessert. Out of the four desserts we ordered, only two were served, and one of them was quite stale. Getting milk for our coffee was surprisingly difficult and required the assistance of four different staff members. Despite the long wait, the appetizers and dinner were truly fantastic!

Last night was my second time visiting this restaurant. The first time was great. It was a birthday celebration. Last night was also a birthday celebration for an eight year old. We arrived at 6:30. First we were led to a table that was wet and no one noticed. We were sent given another table that got rained on. Not one staff member came to our aid. Perhaps offer us another table or even bring napkins/towels to wipe the seats. We specifically ordered a pizza right away for the children first way before ordering the adult's entrees. It took quite some time to get the pizza. Our server was not attentive. We had to wave him down to place the rest of our orders. We did not receive our entrees until 8:45. No one came to say sorry for the delay, we're short on staff,or can we get/do anything for you. My potato croquettes were cold, spinach had no taste. Someone from our party didn't receive their vegetable. Another didn't get her spinach. The last time we brought our own cake, it was taken by the staff, sliced up and brought out right after our meal plates were taken away. We had to wait another 20 minutes for the birthday girl's cake to be brought out. This experience has soured me on what I thought was a great establishment. Perhaps my first time there was great because it was the owner's son birthday as well. There were a lot of extras for the children as well as the adults. Never going back.

The Italian cuisine is deliciously wanting. Yum! I was there with 5 others and we enjoyed a wonderful night. The service is a little too slow but is made up in its atmosphere. There is continuous free wine with your dinner.
