Food was amazing, portions were huge, staff attentive (and we weren’t the only table in there) Turkey was so succulent and everything cooked exactly as it’s meant to be roast potatoes crispy on the outside perfect and fluffy on the inside, veg al dente, gravy was real gravy, we had made amendments to kids meals and a few adults (no cranberry etc they got all of those spot on even bought the kids and a few of the adults extra pig in blankets! All course were delicious and out of a table of 18 to have not one bad word said agains anything eaten speaks volumes in itself!!!! Would highly rate the Christmas dinner and my O/H and the boys would definitely recommend the normal menu (they are there most weeks). Thank you chef for such a delicious dinner and thank you to the rest of the staff for looking after us, you made our day!
We wanted to try the food for quite a while and finally ordered takeaway the egg curry, chilly chicken and egg fried rice. I found the egg curry really odd just some eggs in tomato paste which I feel was a bit pricey. The chilly chicken was too spicy I like hot spicy food but that was too much even for me. Again the price was a bit high considering it didn't come with rice or noodles. The rice was a separate dish and was OK. I did request in my online order to have the food without coriander but both dishes had quite a lot of it. We were given some complimentary dip and what looked like huge crisp but the dip tasted strange and the crisp/bread was tasteless. The delivery was free and it arrived on time (as estimated in the order) so the service was good. This review is based on my personal taste, I don't expect everyone else to share it. Also, I expected the food to be closer to chinese than to indian which also affected my experience. I'd still recommend the restaurant to anyone who likes indian food as most reviews are very positive.
Food and service is always very good, indeed, here. My main of Nadiko Machha, Paneer Tikka Shaslick and Saag Aloo were very fine, indeed. Other mains, for two others of Himalayan Green Chicken and King Prawn curry, along with rice sundries were also deemed to be very good.
Everything we ordered was terrible: nan bread burnt and bitter, The prawns over done and not fresh, the sauce was like out of heinz tomato soup tin. A real disappointment and waste of money, I was expecting fresh and tasty food, maybe too much to ask?
Previously we adored the food here however, tonight's celebratory takeaway was absolutely disgusting. The only dish that tasted fresh was the spinach and the free popadoms, everything else tasted like it was re-heated numerous times. The chicken was dry, the onion bhajis were like plastic. The samosas went in the bin as they were so greasy. I certainly can't recommend nor will be. A repeat customer. Bitterly disappointed.
