We visited the Angel Inn as a family of four. Two adults and two 2 kids aged 11 and 5. Fantastic welcome from all the staff, with outstanding food. Options to eat inside or outside with a great menu to choose from. The staff were amazing and so friendly, the could not do enough for us. Highly recommend the Angell Inn.
Went here recently and enjoyed a beer out the front which was very pleasant by the lovely green in Thames Dits.I saw there was a nice big beer garden out the back too, so would be great for a pint out there. There was cricket on the green, so I opted to be out the front and tried to use binocular eyes to see it.Good pub for a pint, although didn’t try the food. Seemed to be quite a few draught beers out of stock so bumping down a point as had to settle for an inferior pint to what I wanted. Hopefully will be better once the supplies are more plentiful.
After a ‘riveting’ morning in London, followed by a relaxing walk around West End Esher and parts of the Common, I recalled the words of a fellow Hinchley Wood resident who had regaled me with how he’d been here twice during the 50 percent off initiative for August. Thus, I decided to stop of here myself, for an early dinner. The prices even before the 50 percent off are remarkably good anyway, with a wide, diverse, varied menu which caters for all.The food is always decent here unpretentious and hearty, and this remains a true pub.Scampi and chips with a salad were totally fine.
Had hot food and drink served to us by staff whose faces were completely uncovered. Quite reckless behaviour and I cannot go back until this changes.
