Trattoria Da Lepri - Ellington

I knew we were on my first phone call for a special evening to make a reservation. Deborah, the owner, was so courteous, the top of the customer service. Our first time in the restaurant was worn all night. From service to food, top-notch! I chose the restaurant based on online reviews, so glad we did. It was our first visit, but certainly not our last. Thank you Deb and staff for a nice birthday/valentine weekend dinner!

Dinner at Trattoria was perfection! Seating was roomy, yet cozy and intimate. However, the star of the show was the Braised Beef Truffle Pappardelle??which was scrumptious. I highly recommend visiting in the near future.

This lovely Italian restaurant was a delight in so many ways. The service was good, the wine excellent, the ambience spot on. We had dinner for five; I reveled in the salmon; stuffed with shrimp and crab and a cream sauce. Even the fingerling potatoes and veggies were crisp and superb. Mother and sister had a special; pan-seared halibut with broccoli and carrots. Vegan son found some delicious butternut squash ravioli, hold the cheese, and father proclaimed it the best restaurant he had ever visited over his calamari salad. He is given to superlatives. Dessert was the flourless chocolate cake, a pyramid of creamy chocolate, topped with whipped cream and a strawberry garnish. I waddled from the table with a fabulous glow, vowing to return ASAP to do it all over again.

My lady and I never get take out because we?re usually disappointed but whoa! First time trying this place and they knocked it out of the park. I got the short ribs, my lady got the shrimp scampi and we shared the cannoli?s for dessert. Everything exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be going back for a dine in experience next time.

The outside of the restaurant may appear ordinary, but the interior is cozy and inviting. We made the highly recommended reservations and were quickly shown to our table.
