The service and atmosphere are the standout features of this restaurant! The cozy interior, with its homey touches, creates a welcoming vibe. Situated in Old Ellicott City, it's a perfect spot for a date night - you can explore the city and enjoy a meal at this tavern. The beer selection was impressive. I particularly enjoyed the Rumpleweizen, with its delightful rum and cream flavors paired with a classic caramel taste. The Mild Manor'd Amber was a solid amber ale option. The Chicken Sandwich (Bird's the Word) and the Main Street Margherita Pizza were tasty choices. While they weren't outstanding, they were still enjoyable. The chicken sandwich had a nice crunch, and the pizza had a light, fluffy crust with a hint of char. For a top-notch chicken sandwich, I recommend trying Hot Lola's in Northern Virginia. On the other hand, I strongly advise against the black bean burger - it had a strange taste that reminded me of body odor. Overall, this place is a good option in Ellicott City. The food is decent, but the real draw is the inviting atmosphere and convenient location.

The food was very good to my wife and I. We got only vegetarian options, which turned out to be very well done. The building and its different areas are cool and nice. I appreciate their late hours for dinner as someone who works late. I recommend this place for people in and around Ellicott City. I do wish that the music in the dining room could be different than the bar if it isn't. When we were seated and served our food, the music was nice and fitting for a calm date dinner with the ability to talk, but later on, it was changed to a totally different genre with a much more party sound. This changed the ambiance in the dining room significantly and abruptly. Vegetarian options: There were several vegetarian options, of which I tried three. They were all very good. Most of the menu is not vegetarian. The vegetarian dishes were not labeled very clearly in my memory. Parking: Parking to go here is difficult as it is anywhere in Ellicott City. You will probably have to park some distance away and walk.
