Lovely, family run traditional taverna right on the edge of the water by the water taxi stop. Excellent, inexpensive home cooking and shaded sunbeds to hire for just E6 a day. All in a stunning, idyllic location. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet, Great value

The place is excellent (although you can't get there by car) but the tavern is DISGUSTING!!! It smelled like a sewer inside. We had also booked a room and left on the spot (and of course we lost our money because the owners did not want to return it to us). Behind the tavern he had a stable of goats and when you sat there you could smell the droppings. I will never go to this store again. Because the owners don't respect the customer. Rooms: 1

DIRTY AND EXPENSIVE ACCOMMODATION.... (Doghouse) By far the worst to stay there. Service unfriendly and non-existent. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1

Sunbeds thrown randomly at a distance from the tavern were used by wife and me. No labels, no price list, nothing. After an hour, we stood up ready to go. An old lady then appeared out of nowhere, claiming that the sunbeds belonged to her, asking us if we wanted to drink something, and demanding three euros for each bed. When we complained that she should have told us from the beginning, that there should be a clear indication of ownership and commercial use, she said that the sunbeds did not fall from the sky ; Obviously, she is very smart, and we decided to tip her because of the little show she put up for us :

Taverne Metapontis is an unspoilt delight. A lovely beach, a fabulous view and delicious food with the nicest and friendliest staff. Perfect in every way. Service: 5 Location: 5
