Baker's - Elkton

My friends and I had such a wonderful lunch at Baker. I was not in many years and remembered that it was good, and it still holds true. Our waitress (Jeanne) was super friendly. The atmosphere was cozy and the interior was really nice. We had a hard time to decide what to order, great selection of options. I ordered the Alabama Slamma that came with fries and a pimple, I added one side of the Koleslaw. Oh, my God. It was delicious! The chicken was perfectly boiled, juicy and tasteful, the frits were fresh and tasty, and the Koleslaw was amazing how good old-fashioned grandmother type. My friend ordered the hot turkey sandwich with homemade potatoes. It looked amazing, and they enjoyed every bite. My other friend ordered the southwest chicken sandwich minus the bungalow and they also enjoyed it. I had to finish my lunch with a piece of cheesecake. We've already made plans to meet another lunch. The great food, prices and service is too good not to return.

This is a very popular restaurant with excellent homemade dishes. My husband and I enjoyed eating here. The waiting staff is very conscientious of the customer's needs and very nice. I recommend eating at Baker's. I also live her bathroom humor lol.

Absolutely beloved Bakers! My wife tried her potatoes and her eyes rolled back into her head. Then she tried her bratbeef and she said it was the best day of her life. Hey, what about marriage? What about the birth of our daughter? Anyway, without saying, she loved her meal. I had a cheeseburger and when I was asked how it would be cooked, I said medium. I expected the burger to be done well, because no matter how I ask to be cooked in other restaurants, it always comes well. Surprisingly, my burger was actually cooked medium and it was very good. Our daughter had the chicken sample, and she also ran over her food. Overall the entire visit was fantastic! Our server Sam was great. Brought refills without being asked and she was very attentive. We will definitely be back and I can't wait to try some other things. Thanks guys for a great meal!

The food choices were great and the food and service were very good. A little dark inside, but not so dark that we couldn't see. It looks like a lot of locals on the way, as the waiting staff seemed to know that all come to eat, there was more of a home feeling. Just something as a suggestion, brighten the dough and change the sauce for the fried green tomatoes, the corn relish that comes with it is amazing.

As a child, my parents took me to Baker's for special meals. It is still a great place. They loved the Chicken and Dumplings. Aside from Daily Specials, don't forget the Early Birds. I enjoy Turkey Breast, cornbread dressing, gravy, green beans, cole slaw, and a roll. Iced tea is fresh brewed. I have never had a bad meal here. For many this is a stop on the drive to Massey, Chestertown, Ridgely, Fenwick, or Ocean City. Photo is the aftermath of a delicious Turkey Breast supper.
