Dol Go Chon - Elkins Park

This restaurant serves some of the best authentic Korean food I've ever had. Everything on the menu is amazing and beautifully presented. The soup is absolutely outstanding—definitely something you can't miss. Although the service is just okay, the incredible food more than makes up for it. If you're familiar with Asian dining, you know that the best spots often prioritize great food over service.

Authentic is the best word to describe this restaurant. The dinners are fresh and incredibly tasty, reminding me of flavors from Korea. I highly recommend the seafood soup and the spicy chicken soup! Once you step inside, you'll notice that the clientele is primarily Korean, and it's run by Koreans, which guarantees its authenticity. Don't worry if you don’t speak Korean – the servers speak English, and the service is excellent. My friends and I even enjoyed complimentary drinks!

The food here is quite good, but I've noticed that the service tends to be less attentive for customers who aren't of Korean or Korean American descent, particularly Caucasians. I've seen this happen repeatedly at Dol Go Shon. As a result, I've chosen to stop dining here. There have been occasions when I've encountered poor service for no clear reason, even when tables were available. It seems that the staff focuses more on tables with the aforementioned demographics.
