Cali Italiano - Elkhorn

The food was excellent! I tried the fettuccini alfredo, Sicilian cod, and calamari as an appetizer. The portions were generous, and everything was served hot. The sauces tasted homemade! However, the service definitely needs improvement, especially for a Friday night. I ended up having to take my salad home because they forgot to bring it to the table, along with a few other issues.

I attempted to visit this restaurant several times. Although their website indicated that they were open, I found they were actually closed. I won’t be going back again.

The food was heavily smothered in a thick sauce. The salmon was dry, overcooked, and also coated in sauce. The highlight of the meal was the minestrone soup, which was quite good. However, even the tablecloths were dirty, and the chicken was tough.

We’ve dined at Cali several times and have consistently enjoyed our experiences there. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome every time. The food is delightful! We’ve tried both the pizza and various dinner entrees, and they've never disappointed. Last night, we even had the chance to meet the owner, who was incredibly warm and appreciative of our visit. Once again, we had a fantastic dinner! Cali has become one of our favorite restaurants, and we’re excited for them to host a family member's wedding rehearsal dinner!

I recently had one of the best restaurant experiences in a long time. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, responding with a genuine sense of urgency. The bread and mozzarella are made fresh daily by the Italian chef, which adds to the overall quality of the meal. The prices are reasonable for such high-quality food, but be prepared to take your time—everything is made to order, ensuring freshness. You won’t find this level of quality just anywhere. The owner even took the time to come over and chat with us, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to return!
