We had just the best service from our server, Lindsey. She also had a great personality. Food was excellent. The creme brulee did not disappoint. The presentation was so cool. I used to avoid Downtown Elkhart, but decided to give 523 Tap and Grill a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick and attentive wait staff. The appetizers were delicious, and my New York Strip steak and mashed potatoes were cooked perfectly. The potatoes were a bit dry, but still tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant, although the tables were a bit close together due to the limited space. It was hard to hear each other over the noise of the packed restaurant, but overall I would definitely dine here again.

Overall, 523 Tap Grill in downtown Elkhart, IN is a wonderful, fancy and high-end restaurant to wine and dine in, however the service could have been a tad better and the restaurant was too dark! You could not hardly see what you were eating, but the experience as a whole was great! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy, classy place to dine with several alcoholic and wine choices, as well as numerous apps and dessert choices! My favorite dish was the Polpettes Alla Cacciatora!
