E'town Tap - Elizabethtown

Highly recommend the river Wels Nuggets, we had a little escape to eat here and a hike in the garden of the gods. This place was just the perfect treat, sweet/unsweet tea, Pepsi products and a classic “river restaurant” menu. My fiancé and I have both agreed to the best hush puppies we've ever had. Catfish Nuggets were perfect, nice fluffy inside and delicious crunchy on the outside and they definitely give you a plate full! Lol, you won't be hungry!

Food and service were good. Beautiful views to see, but the windows must be cleaned. The four of us ordered dinner plus three additional pages and the total was $120. Too much for a casual outing. I love the place, but I can't afford to eat there anymore.

Love this place, though we haven't been there in a while. It's at it's best when they have a band playing. The people are mostly very friendly and love to dance. Hope to be going back soon!

This restaurant was definitely worth the 100 mile trip. We've been here before and it is always great. This time was no exception. They have the best fried catfish that I know of. This restaurant is just one more fascinating little place down in deep southern Illinois. Hopefully we will be back in the future sometime.
