Denny's - Elizabethtown

My boyfriend and I came here on 04-08-2024 a bit after 11 pm. There was 1 server and 1 cook from the looks of it. The entire experience was absolutely outrageous. For starters, our server was behaving very weird and fidgeting around. She asked us for our drinks and she went and got them. Immediately after bringing the drinks she went to talk to a woman that was clearly not ordering or eating there at all and was cussing about how she wanted to leave. That wasn’t a huge deal as we thought maybe she was just having a bad night or something. Well, the server came to our table because we were ready to order and while my boyfriend was telling her his order the server was swaying back and forth and then looked at the door frantically stating she heard someone come in but my boyfriend and I looked at each other knowing very well no one walked in. It was very bizarre. Well to make matters even better, the server then gets on her cellphone and is bouncing around the whole restaurant talking on the phone and from what we heard she wanted to leave because “she had a rough night the night before.” Whatever that meant. She was cussing through the entire conversation. She ended her phone call after 5/7 minutes and went to the order window and began talking to the cook and while the server and cook were talking we heard the cook in the kitchen say very loudly and clearly that “it doesn’t matter if the food is good or not, I still get paid.” They ended that conversation in laughs. The server then got back on her phone, made another phone call dug in her purse then bolted to the bathroom. The cook hollered that our order was ready but the server was still in the bathroom. We waited for more than 10 minutes for her to come out and get our order. That was the very last straw for us. We ended up just leaving without even eating. I cannot believe this behavior and talk is tolerated. I would be mortified if I was a business owner and heard that my staff were running and behaving like this. Especially in front of customers. If there was a no star option that would be my take on this Denny’s. I will be calling to follow up on this matter because no one should be exposed to this disgusting behavior! DO BETTER!

No stars. Don’t ever stop here. Hungry foursome was never even acknowledged while waiting 12 minutes for a seat. Just ended up leaving. Any staff that saw us went and made themselves scarce. The most pathetic lack of service I have ever been associated with. Again, I implore you all, never ever stop here. With luck, they will soon be closed. Will be contacting owner.

Had the lumberjack slam breakfast. It's a bunch of food! The ladies working here are running their butts off trying to keep up. Hope they get some help soon because it's a good restaurant.

Usually Denny’s is very professional with good service.. This place lacks service waited 45 min for food. our server seemed like she didn’t like her job at all and we had to deal with it!! Guess if Sandra wants a better TIP learn how to smile and get food on the table. Oh and I had to wait another 10 min for the checkParking: Plenty of parking

My wife and I went to eat here and it was horrible from the time we walked in. We had to seat ourselves and then had to wait on the server to come once he came he was nice and explained it was only his second day there and he was on the floor by his self we ordered our food I got a steak well done and came out medium rare to which was explained that it was cooked in the oven... they need to close this place down if it can't get better than this
