Applebee's Grill - Elizabeth

This Applebee's was fantastic! The food was delicious, and our server was excellent—very attentive. The highlight of the experience was that my daughter, who is 4, really enjoyed herself. Usually, it can be challenging to keep her seated, but she was on her best behavior this time. She even loved placing her own order! The restaurant was clean and quiet, making for a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend dining there if you're ever in the Elizabeth Mall in NJ; you won’t regret it!

On a positive note, the food was enjoyable; the waffle fries were particularly good and came in huge portions, but the mac and cheese was disappointingly small. The seating arrangement was quite uncomfortable, as all the seats were high and bar-style, making it difficult to find a comfortable spot. Our waiter did take the time to write down the different options for tap water on the menu, but that was the extent of our interaction with him. In terms of accessibility, the restaurant was wheelchair accessible, but all the tables were high, with only bar stools available—there were no lower tables for easier access.

As for the food, it also varies in quality; I suppose it depends on who is in the kitchen. However, the spinach and artichoke dip nachos are consistently good, especially in the larger portion. Overall, I would recommend this Applebee's if you're having a long shopping day and are really hungry; it’s a quick stop within the shopping center without needing to leave.

Ordered takeout, pickup was not smooth. drinks should be made after testing the id, but need several succession before drinks were finally made available. leave the restaurant to realize the desired utensils, were not provided and a trip back to the restaurant required.
