Christmas Hills Raspberry Farms Cafe

This is one of the best road-trip farm stops that I've come across.

The drinks are goodFresh raspberries are good when in season. My major gripe is that the restaurant only has one real lunch dish - pork belly.

We stopped here for breakfast after coming across on the Spirit of Tasmania, and I can definitely say it was one of the nicest breakfasts I've eaten out. I had the french toast and a raspberry latte both of which were delicious; although looking across at other breakfasts including the trout, eggs and home made crumpets made me want to visit again. While waiting for breakfast to arrive I managed to fit in a tasting of some of the raspberry products and was also offered a chocolate covered raspberry - yum! As well as the great food and friendly service we were also able to take a walk around the water and see a little of the raspberry farm including two very cute alpacas and our first sight of the native hens. Great experience for our first meal in Tasmania

Th service was very friendly, our order was taken with a smile and our meals arrived surprisingly fast considering how busy they were. We were very happy with our meals, the small size meals were more than adequate. Try the raspberry sausages, absolutely delicious!

A very busy cafe attached to the Christmas Hills Raspberry farm, in the summer season it's very busy and a popular tourist destination, open all year.Children are welcome, kids menu and Gluten Free and Vegan options are available, not many but enough.I tried the Raspberry Affogato, which was interesting but I won't have again, and the Gluten Free crepes, small serve. The Raspberry Ice cream they serve here is excellent, full of flavour and not too sweet, highly recommended. The berries and coulis were also good (berries had been frozen but were really tasty, it was off season). The crepe was serviceable, but I was grateful it was available as a GF option.Children were well looked after, and the Chocolate coated raspberries at the front counter are worth going back to at every opportunity :)
