San Jose Mexican - Elgin

This is a great restaurant with excellent service and delicious food. I consistently have a positive experience there, and the quality of the food never disappoints. The portion sizes are also reasonable for the price.

I visited this restaurant because I was in the mood for a margarita, and they certainly did not disappoint! The drink was strong, and I could barely taste the mango, which was actually a plus. The chips and salsa were good, although the chips didn’t taste very fresh. I ordered the chimichanga with chicken and opted for rice instead of beans. It was absolutely fantastic—I finished every last bite! The waiter was prompt and very helpful with our drink and food orders. We arrived at around 9 PM, just an hour before closing, but they attended to us as if it were any other time.

The restaurant is decent, with a clean dining area. The food is standard Mexican cuisine. Sometimes, the checkout process can be slow. The staff is satisfactory, and the prices are reasonable.

On this day, Tuesday 14 March 2023, I had the best Chorizo Chicken that I've ever had. We lived 5 years in Texas, in Arizona for a while, and all over the USA. My compliments to the chef, I have a new favorite
