Mel's Pizza - Elgin

The BEST deep dish pizza ever! We've been ordering from here since it was Jake's Pizza. Although we live out of town now, we always make a point to stop by for a deep dish sausage pizza whenever we're in Elgin or the surrounding area. Keep up the fantastic work, Mel’s Pizza! I give them a 10 out of 10 stars.

We love Mel’s , have been going there going there for over 20 plus years! When it was Jake’s! We used to go there and eat but now we just have it delivered!

Recently went there, dark when I went inside, eerie. So ordered food by phone, showed up 1/2 later. Back kitchen from what I saw was disgusting! Filthy. Like hasn 't been cleaned in years. The dough presser had a thick white film in the center of it. They used it to make my pizza!

Owner had trouble, my order was 2 hours late...delivery guy was super rude

This place used to be great when I was a kid, but now the pizza is the absolute worst I've ever had. It's always burnt, there is no flavor or seasoning, it's just like chewing gum, it's awful! I'm so done giving this place a chance just because it was good in the past decades. But never again. I can't even explain how awful the puzza here always is nowadays. You've lost a customer of 25 years...
