Las Margaritas - Elgin

We frequently pass by this restaurant and decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, it was a huge mistake. Our orders were incorrect right from the start with the drinks. The situation did not improve from there. The food was decent, but it was overshadowed by the terrible service we experienced. The waiter continuously passed by our table without acknowledging us or making eye contact. He served everyone around us, making us feel invisible. We have no intention of returning.

Everything was great. ?? The complimentary salsa was excellent; probably the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Only downside was, there wasn’t free queso. Birria tacos are great!

I really liked the spinach enchiladas with fresh avocado slices.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The service was exceptional and we were attended to by two amazing waiters, Edgar and Martha. They truly went above and beyond. The highlight of the meal was the freshly made tortillas and flavorful chorizo - something I had never tasted before. Highly recommended!

I got a shredded beef chimichanga, and it was delicious.
