She even checked if we were vegetarian or vegan. She mentioned that they use bullion as a base for some sauces, but they are willing to make dishes without it if requested. It is recommended to ensure that your order does not contain bullion, fish sauce, or egg as they are the main sources of animal products. We tried the Vegetable Fried Rice without egg, which was okay but could use more flavor. The Salt and Pepper Tofu was delicious and very savory, we might ask for garlic next time. We also enjoyed the Sesame Tofu with a sweet sauce and found it to be a nice contrast to the savory Salt and Pepper Tofu. The Mongolian Style with Fried Tofu was good, but not as great as the Salt and Pepper Tofu. The Five Tastes Sauce with Fried Tofu was good, but could use a little heat. Our favorite was the Salt and Pepper Tofu. The Vegetable Chow Mein was good, but we wished the noodles were cooked more and had more sauce and flavor. Overall, we were satisfied with our meal as it was easy to order vegan options from a menu with a large selection of items that can be made vegan by substituting tofu or veggies with different sauces. The lunch specials are reasonably priced, but service can be slow during busy times. If you speak Spanish, ask for Ida as she is knowledgeable on vegan options. Note that only a few dishes contain fish sauce, like Pad Thai, and most dishes have a chicken bullion base, which can be omitted.
This restaurant offers a diverse selection of vegetarian and vegan options. The menu includes a dedicated vegetarian section, and they are happy to prepare dishes with tofu upon request. The food is absolutely delicious, making this one of my top dining spots in town. The staff and owner are incredibly friendly.
The vegan diners discovered dead animals in both of their dishes, with one containing shrimp and the other containing a piece of chicken.
The baked rice without egg was okay, but could use a bit more seasoning. The salt and pepper tofu was delicious and we enjoyed it, although we would ask for garlic next time. The sesame tofu, substituted with tofu, was tasty with a sweet sauce that we loved. The Mongolian-style tofu was good, with a savory sauce, although not as good as the salt and pepper tofu in our opinion. The five-tastes sauce with fried tofu was also good, with a sweet sauce that would have been better if it was a bit warmer. Overall, we liked the salt and pepper tofu the best. The chow mein without chicken was good, but we would have preferred the noodles to be cooked a bit more and more sauce. The menu had a great selection of vegan items, either with tofu or different sauces. The lunch specials were affordable, although the service could be slow when they are busy. It's recommended to ask for Ida if you need help with making your dish vegan. Some dishes contain fish sauce, such as pad thai. Most dishes have a chicken broth base, but can be made without it. Overall, we were very satisfied with our meal and found it easy to order vegan options at this restaurant. It seems like they have a good understanding of vegan options and can accommodate different dietary preferences. They offer a variety of affordable options, especially during lunch. Just be mindful of the ingredients and don't hesitate to ask for Ida's assistance in creating a vegan-friendly meal.
