Básico Bistro Cafe - El Paso

Been coming for breakfast a few years, and there is always excellent customer service, food is great, and they have specials for certain days/times. Must try place.

The place is nice but they took forever with our order considering the place was pretty empty with only like 4 table with people. The food disappointed, I got mijas bowl with no flavor they make it look all pretty haha. My bf got some steak tacos no flavor on the meat and with like some burn cheese on the tortilla, he hated it. Like I said they make the plates look pretty and the place every nice but that's all it has.

I'm pleasantly surprised. Brunch outing the service was slow to get started, but it was well worth it. The basico chilaquiles with eggs over easy was flavor, spicy but not over powering and mouth watering. The portion size was bountiful, just right for a hard labored morning. The berries and cream waffles plating were eye pleasing. The tasted light and airy, delicious, melted in the mouth. The bacon was crispy and crunchy. The server was pleasant. She apologized for the slow service but was attentive after she introduced herself. I would definitely recommend this establishment for brunch. It was reasonably priced and a nice treat after church.

This place was our go-to for brunch because we loved their chicken and waffles! However today we got frozen chicken fingers with our meal. $19 for a waffle and 3 frozen chicken strips!! Very disappointed!Update: I spoke with the server and assured me that they will be back to normal the next week, there were supply issues this week and he removed my plate from the tab. Moved up to 4 stars for service and the fact they understood and listened to my concern.

Very disappointed with this location, I miss the downtown Basico. We waited over 20 minutes and no one ever came by to even ask for our drink order. The 2 waiters working kept passing by our table avoiding eye contact, couldn 't even say I 'll be right with you . The restaurant was not even busy, about 3 tables were there and they had already received their food. The food is usually good when I had visited the old downtown location, but I 'm disappointed with the service we had at this one. We were only acknowledged when we got up to leave because no one had served us after 20+ minutes, the server said have a good day yet couldn 't even take our order.
