Las Cuevas De Olivares - El Molar

Increíble para comidas, cenas, picoteos... 100% recomendado.

Poor. Went there with a local friend about 6pm on Friday (El Viernes) 17/11/23. Attention was patchy. Managed to place an order for drink and food with no help from local staff. Asked for local soup and a cod dish. Both arrived together. Both fairly cold. The ‘starter’ of soup was terrible. Asked a waiter what was in it he didn’t know. The chief server mentioned bread ham. The bread was soggy and cold there were shreds of ham. Couldn’t finish it barely 1/3 eaten. The ‘main’ course was barely identifiable as such some peppers stuffed with apparently cod baccalau but unrecognisable as fish by me. Very poor dining experience, will never go there again.

We found this place but only had one drink, it smelt really funny, we decided not to eat as the smell put us off.

This is one of the most famous restaurant-caves in El Molar. Having tried some other caves, I really expected much more from this one. The menu is larger than other restaurants, but quality suffers, though acceptable and more expensive. I would recommend other caves over this, such as El Tascón for best home food and real value, La Cueva del Lobo for the atmosphere or El Matador for a balance of both.

Una muy buena experiencia, y un sitio más que recomendable. Hemos comido muy bien a un precio más que ajustado. Muy buena atención por parte del personal.
