9405 - El Calafate

Nice place. The best value for money that we found in El Calafate If you order the hamburger take into consideration that it will take 30-35 minutes to be served Don't forget to take the lemonade - it's really amazing

We stopped here for an early dinner purely because we found every other restaurant in El Calafate to be extremely expensive. But not to say this is a cheap restaurant, but rather they were running a special that if you bought 2 pizzas the second was half price.We sat down and they told us we could only pay in cash (we had limited cash so this meant we could not have a drink).We ordered 2 pizzas (for the special they had to be the same variety) so we go the "sautéed vegetable". This always worries me when they don't indicate they actual vegetables.After we ordered we got a complementary board of appetizers with small shots of mint lemonaid (delicious), small bread rolls and delicious olive oil marinated beans. This was a fantastic touch.Our pizzas arrived and while they looked delicious they were not pizzas at all. These were flat breads, small oblong in shape with a thick base and lots of cheese. To my amazement the vegetables surpassed my expectations and it was peppers, onions, olives and sundried tomatoes. I think some people may be very disappointed if they wanted a regular pizza- but we weren't we really enjoyed it.The service was good and friendly despite us just going for the special and not even ordering drinks. (The special was from 17:00-19:00).

There weren't a lot of options for happy hour, so we just ordered a few appetizers - and got way more than expected. Generous pours of vino. Delicious food. Attentive & welcoming service.

Not mentioning the high price of everything in calafate etc, i am just writing about the food I had at the restaurant.I went there for lunch. The service in the restaurant was fine but the wok I had was not good(. Since i am from Asia, I know what is wok. Though I am not expecting that I would get the one like original in Asia, what I had was not like wok that I know...i ordered a vegetable wok,it was more like a soya soup with vegetables. I took a photo of the dish but i decided not to upload. I wouldn't recommend the wok there.but I was able to see other dishes which seemed to be pretty nice such as hamburgers and so on. So try other..

Tried the burger which was just great. Pizza is a little special... rather like a Focaccia but still tasty. No credit cards accepted!
