Mesa Street Grill - El Cajon

This restaurant is a wonderful spot for dinner. The server was incredibly friendly, the food was cooked exactly how we wanted it, and the menu has a great selection to choose from.

Our anniversary dinner experience was not the best. My partner's steak was sent back twice for being overcooked, and the service was slow, especially for a Saturday at 4 pm. While every restaurant has its good and bad days, we felt that for $300 including tip, the restaurant did not justify the price based on the quality of food and service we received.

Claudio was fantastic! The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the overall experience was absolutely enjoyable. We will definitely be returning.

Food was wonderful. We had the lobster gnocchi...which had the perfect amount of spice, the sous vide chicken with perfectly cooked skin, and the duck which was simply delicious. Great wine selection too. Was a little pricey, but it was for Mother's day, so a nice splurge. Service was great...thank you Luis for a great evening.

I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The chicken for some odd reason) was rubbery, crunchy and difficult to chew. It was unpleasant. :
