Denny's - El Cajon

The burgers are absolutely delicious and the service is fantastic.

Ordered a moz burger spec. It was NOT American cheese as menu stated, it was swiss! The dipping sauce was in the burger and not on the side as menu stated. It was a regular bun and not brioche as menu stated. Fries were undercooked and tasted horrible. Pancakes were undercooked and didn't have butter. The food gets a -1. Cleanliness gets a ZERO. There was food all over the floor and looked dirty. I wish I could rate our waiter Adrian, who was a perfect 10! Excellent CS by him throughout the whole visit. Highly doubt I'll be back after spending $30 plus a very generous tip for 2 meals that was NOT good.

Walked in to place a take out order. I was told it would take 30 minutes to get it ready. I left and came back an hour later. Still wasn’t ready. Then I waited another 15 minutes before someone telling everyone they were closing because the kitchen crew couldn’t get their act together. I wish they had explained their problem before I waited almost an hour and a half. I won’t be going back.

I visited yesterday 7/27/2022If I could give them a -1000 I most certainly would. I don't eat meat so I wanted a moon over my hammy without the ham and was advised by the rude waitress that it would be the same price as if it had meat? so I asked if I wanted extra ham would I be charged for that and was advised that I would, but you can't subtract the cost of the extra ham from the sandwich without ham and again was told no. They didn't have any coffee creamer so my friends got a little plastic container with just milk...sadWhen we got our food the toast was burnt and had a huge scoop of butter, funny how the toast could be burnt and cold at the same time. My friend didn't get his water until we were ready to leave and we had to get another waitress to give them more coffee. Will NEVER go back. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED

My friends and I went to Denny's on a Friday night. The waitress rudely threw the menus on our table and then ignored us for 20 minutes. We finally left without ordering anything. Denny's service has been declining for years, and it's no surprise why. I will never go back there again. Complete waste of time.
