Forest Lodge - Edwinstowe

I visited for the first time in 2023, and as always, it was perfect! The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and I stayed in my usual room, even though I only come here 3-4 times a year. The food is excellent, and the rooms are always very clean and well-presented. The staff is polite and attentive. I highly recommend this place!

I didn't have a room like a local, but I decided to visit for Sunday lunch again. Wow, I was truly amazed by the new starter: breaded belly pork with a Thai curry-style dressing. It was outstanding! For the main course, I had the lamb Sunday dinner, which was also exceptional. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was first-class, delivered with a friendly smile.

This charming old lodge is filled with period features and is exceptionally well-maintained. The food was delicious; I enjoyed lunch, dinner, and breakfast there. It offers the best selection of food in the area. The rooms were clean, quiet, and provided a good night's sleep. The staff were excellent—professional and polite. I would definitely stay here again.

We have just stayed at Forest Lodge and have been very impressed. The staff are lovely, the room was nice and the food superb. It was a convenient stay for a foraging course I was due to attend nearby which was sadly cancelled. I look forward to returning in the future.

Stunning period decor tastefully reinvented, food is the best in a 50 mile radius. Service second to none with American levels of customer service and attention to detail. We never hesitate to recommend to anyone.
