Golden Oak Pancake House - Edwardsville

The food at this restaurant was lacking in flavor. I tried the steak and it was very bland, tasting only of meat without any seasoning. The hash browns were overcooked on the outside and the insides were just boiled potatoes. The eggs were scrambled without any salt or butter, making them taste plain. The pancakes were the only item that got a good rating, 4 stars. The service, however, was excellent, receiving a 5-star rating.

Charged extra fee to pay with a card. Food was bland and basic. Lady at the register wasn't friendly. Pancakes were doughy in the middle. The waitress worked her behind off.

My food was served with plastic, in which it was cooked. it was clearly visible when I was served. it seemed to be worn by the plastic gloves that are used in the preparation of food. they offered to remake the food, but no one excused me and was calculated for the meal. I felt that it was very sticky and unprofessional, as the result will never eat again here. is not recommended to others. the place was very busy, but the manager could have come to the table or took a few dollars away. we had a table of 7 ppl!

Fantastic spot for breakfast! I have been here multiple times with the family for breakfast on the weekends. Great service, EGGcellent food :DIn addition, I recently placed a LARGE order for breakfast carryout for a group of 20 people. Cheyenne was FANTASTIC...patient, helpful and dedicated to getting our huge order correct. Really appreciate their customer service. Highly recommend.
