Chava's Mexican - Edwardsville

The food at this restaurant was incredible! I ordered the steak tortilla soup with tacos, which came with sides of refried beans and rice. The service was quick, efficient, and very friendly. The atmosphere was authentic, friendly, and extremely clean. I highly recommend this place to anyone who values high-quality food, excellent service, hospitality, value, and a great atmosphere.

This is typically a favorite spot in Edwardsville, but tonight it was a bit disappointing. There was something off about the beef in the nachos. The service was slower than we are used to. However, the fried cheesecake was excellent and saved the night. We will return...eventually.

The tortilla soup with tender steak and flavorful ingredients was a standout dish during my meal. It was delicious and enjoyable to eat. The fried tacos were decent but could use something more to enhance their Mexican flavor. The guacamole was excellent and the salsa had a chunky texture with a tangy taste. The margaritas were okay, although I would prefer a different lime mix. For my wife's birthday, we were treated to a fried cheesecake which was a delightful surprise and very tasty. The service met our expectations and the overall experience was good. The table could have been a bit larger, but we were able to make it work with a little rearranging. I would recommend this establishment, as the ambiance is not overly flashy but well lit.

Love the food and libations the service the atmosphere and the location!!! We've tasted almost everything on the menu and all are delicious and great quality!!

Best free (chunky) salsa and thinnest chip in the area! Fish tacos are a hit, but I love the $2 Taco Tuesday special usually with a $5 pineapple margarita. I splurge and get my favorite (mango) sometimes, it's worth the regular price. All flavors are great as they are made with real fruit, trust me, I've done research! It's a busy place after work, have some patience as you can see all the workers are hustling! Don't shy from stopping if you can't find parking in front, just go around to the side/back. They have a patio to sit outside, but I love to sit at the bar too! The owner is top notch and cares about her business, employees and costumers.
