Phenix Bar Restaurant - Edmore

A wonderful barbecue spot in Elmore. My group stopped by after a race at the Mid-Michigan Motorplex, and Phenix Bar is conveniently located just about 5 minutes north of our route.

I visited this restaurant for the first time since they relocated, and it was the worst experience I've had. My burger was undercooked! The waitress claimed that they prepare them medium-well, but it was more like medium-rare. Initially, they said they could remake it but might charge me for the new one—how ridiculous! However, after about five minutes, they finally agreed to make me a new burger. We decided to leave before eating, though.

The experience was enjoyable until they relocated. The club sandwich was extremely soggy, making it necessary to use a knife and fork, and it didn't taste good at all. After several years of visiting, we’ve decided not to return.

I've been there twice, and both the food and the staff are fantastic! I will definitely be returning.

After deciding to steer clear of the holiday traffic on the northbound highway and take a scenic two-lane route home, we found ourselves hungry. We turned to Yelp to discover a local restaurant that could satisfy our cravings for some authentic cuisine.
