The Shed - Edmonton

I decided to try this restaurant because they serve food from The Shed, instead of trying a new place. The restaurant can accommodate a large number of people and if you sit away from the games, it is not too noisy. The service was initially poor, but then a new server took over and apologized sincerely for any previous neglect. She mentioned that she had addressed the issue with the other server who did not seem to care. The restaurant is not cheap, but it is more affordable than nearby Earls and is likely popular because it is trendy. They have a full bar and serve coffee. The food arrived promptly once we were served. Children are welcome at this restaurant.

Located in the Rec Room, The Shed is one of three dining options with a larger menu selection. Specializing in various types of poutine including pork, chicken, or lobster, The Shed also offers custom-made donuts with different cream fillings. While not considered cheap, it is also not overly expensive. During our visit, we shared a poutine and donut between two people and enjoyed the option of a full bar. Surprisingly, despite being owned by Cinemax, soda drinks came with free refills. The atmosphere is unique with a focus on games, but still retains an upscale feel. If you're not very hungry, consider stopping by for a light bite. The other two dining spots looked appealing as well, but we opted to dine at The Shed. They boast Russian chickens on their menu, which are cooked in-house.

I was surprised that even though they are owned by Cinemax, the soda drinks came with free refills. A very different ambiance as there is all the games going on around but it has a nice upscale tone. Worth a try for something to do when you are not really hungry. The other two spots looked good but we did not try them. They have rotisserie chickens which I know because they are cooking at the Shed.

I am delighted with the fantastic service and great value I received at this new bunkhouse. I had it constructed at my lake cottage while vacationing in Hawaii.
