Tasty Choice - Edmonton

Tried this place because of BOGO on one of the delivery apps. Settled on beef satay fried rice. 24.99 per dish, but 1 free because of the deal. I’m expecting a big portion of great fried rice given the cost, $25/dish. I picked up and when I saw the two small tubs of rice I thought, this can’t possibly be $50 worth of food. Couldn’t have even been $25 worth. But must be super good and fresh right? Wrong. It consisted of rice, thin shreds of beef that I could neither taste nor feel in my mouth, and peas. That’s it. No egg. No other veg. No satay flavour, soy sauce, hot sauce, garlic, ginger, or any other flavour you might associate with fried rice. Again, nothing “satay” about this. It was somewhat spicy and my daughter said “it just tastes like pepper.” And I agreed, the spice/flavour was just…pepper. About two cups of this “fried rice,” they’re making about a $24 profit on this dish. I was mad I paid $25 for two, much less the regular price of $50. I rarely leave negative reviews because I feel bad but this food was offensive.

The staff there doesn't know their own menu. I have to show her where it is located on the poster at the cashier front desk. How embarrassing. Yet she still messed up the order. Do not bother to try this low standard restaurant out waste of time and horrible service. There are way more better places near by.

This place might earn the spot for worst most over-priced spring rolls in the city. Beef bowl was way too sweet, with barely any meat and clumpy rice. Skip this place!
