Smitty's Restaurant - Edmonton

Usually a good spinich omelet but tried something different this time, thought I would treat myself to steak and eggs. Well I guess Smitty's is not really a steak house so I won't be trying that there again. Poor quality steak not and cooked right . I would wager a guess that the cook probably doesn't know how to cook a steak in the first place. Sorry to say but I don't see myself even going back, they have nothing to really offer me. Perhaps I will stick to cooking for myself at home. Sorry Smitty's I think we are done, we are just not right for each other, It's not you, it's me. It's just best we go our seperate ways. No hard feelings.

I ordered the cirus glazed chicken. Should be a safe dish. The plate was served with rice. I asked for soya sauce, the waitress replied they had none, but she gave me extra butter. Only problem was the rice was luke warm and wouldn't melt the butter. The vegetabhes (carrots and brocolli) were another story. The carrots were old and wrinkled. I am not sure if they were last weeks' or last months'. The broccoli was warmed in a microwave but at least they were close to hot and edible. The chicken was tender, and cooked. It was minus the glaze. When the served came by and asked how everything was, I mentioned about the carrots and rice, and she apologized,(I think more because she tjought she should) .I think she didn't know what to do. She then concentrated on the chicken, asking how it was. I relied ok. She did not offer another dish of veggies or other rice. Unbelievable, bad food, cold food, and not having sauces someone may want. The server came by once only, and close to when I was done my meal. Basically there was no followup. Oh, did I mention I was rhe ONLY one in the restuarant at the time.

I had a great experience with this restaurant because they were very accommodating in replacing my food when they made a mistake (added cheese when I can't have dairy). I would definitely recommend this place! The food was also delicious and served hot.

This restaurant is located next to the Super 8 hotel. The service here is excellent and incredibly friendly. The food is both quick and delicious, and also very reasonably priced. The operating hours may be a bit unpredictable, but the food is definitely worth checking out.

Staff are very friendly and accomadating. They have the best wings and beer. A very good way to relax and socialize.
