We haven't been to Shanghai 456 in a whileWe went again recently and brought some friends to experience it.

Wonderful Shanghai style food mushrooms & green vegetables, Hot Sour soup, duck, dumplings ( Woi tip) , spareribs, steam chicken cold, fish dish just slides down your throat, Shanghai noodle, beef stuff bun with lots of sauce, puff pastry on outside yummy black sesame dessert on the inside. Round tables to fit our big group. Our table of 12 only paid $22 per person includes tip. Very little leftovers. Service was good. Will be back again.

Green onion cake was too oily - could have soaked up oil on paper towel after pulling from fryer; oily vegetables, bland noodle dish, black sesame pastry was undercooked. Fish dish was fair, and the soup-filled dumplings were okay. But this could not make up for everything else being terrible. You're sorry? I'm sorry too.
