Riverside Bistro - Edmonton

Great restaurant and lounge located inside the downtown Edmonton Courtyard HotelGot into my room and went down to the lounge for a bite and a drink.

My 2 star review is based on my overall experience; however, I would say the patio deserves 4 stars for the beautiful view of the river valley. I came here

We were downtown to enjoy Canada Day. We stop at this restaurant/lounge for a drink. They have a beautiful patio to sit on and enjoy the view. We talk to the first waitress about sitting out on the patio. She tells us just a few minutes. 10 minutes go by nothing. We ask another person, he talks to someone else for about 5 minutes. Finally we are seated on the patio. Meanwhile the patio is the only place with people on it. (Not even crowded) we are given drink menus. After 25 minutes we ask on of the servers and she tells us she'll get our server. 5 more minutes hubby goes to up to another server who is very apologetic. Takes our order and ensures it comes in 5 minutes. We finish our drinks as a waitress for our bill, she tells us she'll get our server. At this point I refused to sit start towards the bar inside to pay. Needles to say we only tipped 5%. I loved the view it was fantastic, but service was right out the window. No one wanted to serve us. So unless they get new staff we will not go back.

Just next door to the Bistro, the view and TV screens offer you a choice - unless of course your companion is your choice of view. Great service and decent selection of beverages. Disappointed that there is no menu after 10pm though.

A great quaint place to put your heals up - just wish they did not close down so early. Staff is attentive, make good drinks and offer complimentary snacks.
