One of the best Thai restaurants in Edmonton. Their food is absolutely delicious. Portions are great and the service is awesome! I love the casual vibe of the restaurant. If I had to recommend one dish, it would be the drunken rice. If you like Thai food, you should definitely try Million Thai.Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options. In most dishes, the meat can be subbed for tofu.
This restaurant is far from authentic. The Pad Thai they serve is not like the traditional Thai dish as it is made with rice noodles covered in hoisin sauce and peanuts, missing key ingredients such as chili, garlic, chives, bean sprouts, and fish sauce. The Tom Yum soup was also disappointing, as it had more oil than broth and seemed to be made with boiled chicken that was simply dropped into the soup. My wife, who has spent time in Thailand and can make delicious Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup, was unimpressed. While some Thai restaurants can be amazing, this one falls short.
Great little restaurant with delicious food!We enjoyed our Thai dinner very much and definitely will be back.We had the panang curry which was fantastic and a great recommendation from the server as he asked about our tolerance for spicy food, which is low, but the curry still was tasty and full of flavor. All the dishes had a great veggie to meat ratio and you could tell everything was freshly made. The service was on point and we enjoyed the good mood of our young server very much!
Went in around 4pm on a Saturday. Parking is good and plenty of tables for seating. Greeted by a friendly woman. We ordered chicken panang curry, shrimp pad thai and chicken singapore noodles.chicken panang curry- good dish, nice proportion of chicken to veggies. I liked that it had fresh veggies that wasn’t overcooked. The panang curry was slightly sweeter than I liked and was hoping it was spicier but overall this dish was delicious.Chicken singapore noodles-very good dish, price per portion was acceptable. I liked this dish a lot because it was spicy. It had the same veggies as the chicken panang and it was cooked perfectly and fresh!Shrimp pad thai-overall this dish was ok but price per portion could be better. Out of the 3 dishes we ordered this had the smallest portion. For me it was slightly more sweeter than my liking. The sauce was darker than i am used to so either they used more tamarind or brown sugar. At any rate, i was hoping it was more savoury. I ended up adding some of the sauce from the panang curry on top of the pad thai to balance it out a little. Good portion of shrimp as well.Overall, i liked the food offerings at Million Thai. Service was good and we received the food in a timely manner. I would recommend trying them if you are in the area.
