Mikado Restaurant South - Edmonton

This restaurant has been here for quite some time however this was my first visit. The food was excellent, tasty and the service was timely with little waiting although they seemed to be quite busy. There was a very good variety of menu items where you could order single dishes to share or bento boxes for individuals.

Kaye was our server and she was so kind, friendly, and helpful. We had the dynamite roll, spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura, kappa maki, tako, ebi, hokkigai, and ika nigiri. Everything was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully plated.

I went this restaurant with my friends. They love Sushi and fish so I made a reservation. It was a quiet Saturday afternoon. I asked for a booth and they made it prepared within 5 minutes. Thank you. We ordered 3 appetizers and main lunch, bento box. Their foods are excellent yeast and presentation! Day before going to the restaurant, I sent website to my friends and they did research what to order. One item was not on the menu but when asked, the server knows what it is and we could order. Did I say their foods are excellent?

First return since the Covid outbreak. Glad to be back. Still all good. Service by Flora was fantastic. Cheerful and helpful. Food was awesome as usual.

Our first visit to Mikado was back in their first location in 1972, they had sashimi only at that time tuna or salmon and a great tempura. It is still a great restaurant which still has our support after all these years. Friendly hard working staff with very consistent food quality, 170st location has great parking which makes it our favourite.
