Good Taste Chinese Szechuan Cuisine

Thought we would give this place a try. I walked in and ordered take out. They told me 20 minutes and that is how long it took. We ordered green onion cakes which were not very good. The beef with fresh tomatoes and beef with broccoli and mushrooms were good. The peach shrimp was OK as was the western fried rice. Their Kung Po chicken looked good. I would be choosy when ordering.

I've always ordered from this place and got it delivered numerous times. At first it was great but the quality seemed to diminish over time. On a couple of instances we made a complaint and they apologized and gave us a complimentary appetizer. Delivery service has always been quick and the driver very friendly. Can't say it was the most horrible place i've gotten take out from but it's certainly better than most pizza places.

In the search for some decent General Tso's Chicken in Edmonton, I came across the menu at Good Taste. I ordered the combo meal and was greatly disappointed. The sauce isn't made with real ingredients, and so was generally boring. The rice was the only decent part of the dish. I knew I probably wasn't going to get what I was searching for, but I still went... I just will not be going back.

Service was the worst. Received our rice dish before our soup. We had to ask for our soup. Our chicken dish came out 20 to 25 mins after our rice and soup. Meanwhile our rice is stone cold. They never checked on us, never offered to redo or reheat our rice as it was their mistake/mix up. Others who came in after us received good service and their meals in a timely fashion after all they were ordering from the special Chinese menu. It appears this restaurant is under new management that caters to an Asian crowd. Will NOT go back ever!!!!
