Duke of Argyll Pub - Edmonton

I still frequent here quite a bit. Although the staff is still great they recently changed the menu. They raised the prices on most things ( some ridiculously ). They removed a couple favorites including lemon pepper shrimp, boneless and thai chili wings. In talking to other regulars I found out they aren't impressed either.

While staying at the Four Points I decided to dine in and since the reviews were good I decided to go for it! With a pretty standard pub menu I was torn between the buttermilk crispy chicken sandwich and the donair. I went with the donair and it was a great choice. It was served hot and quickly. It was flavourful and really hit the spot. As you might expect there is also a selection of beverages on tap.It is a pub with a great vibe, pleasant staff and you can tell it gets repeat business. I recommend the Duke and would return in the future.

Enjoyed some local-ish beers and a pizza, soup and salad. Visited and relaxed with a local nephew for several hours. We will go back here when we are in Edmonton.

My friend and I met for lunch. WE had drinks and Nachos. The nachos had lots of toppings and were good, drinks good waitress excellent. ONly 6 old regular in the lounge. Will stop again.

Friday's evenings, half priced appetizers till 8, happy hour till 8 and the food is worth way more than the full price. One of the best "locals" in Edmonton, hands down!!!
