Continental Treat Fine Bistro Gluten Free

Dill pickle soup was very good. Shrimp app was tasty but came on a cold plate thus was not even warm when received. Schnitzel was very tasty as were accompaniments. However as with the shrimp, it was also not served hot, due again probably to being served on cold plates. Disappointing as the food would have been so much better had it been served hot. Service was very good.

*Each stage was accompanied by a hand pick wine.*Cheese plater*House soup that was flavorful and enjoyed. Homemade.*Main course: The only identified spoiler I'm going to share, it was lamb. It was marvelous! Tender, mild & savoury! Here's my secret: I usually hate (yes, Hate.) lamb. This was bone chewing worthy!*Dessert was sumptuous. Appropriately portioned and fully consumed with very good coffee.Can't say more on the coffee, really it was over shadowed.Lastly, the band playing our dinner music added a lively ambience to our girl's night out. Service was expeditious but not rushing. We were welcomed to stay as long as we wished.

As well as being clean, comfortable and classy, the dining room is full of character. Service is top notch and the food is even better - if you like ample portions of hearty home-cooked German food layered with flavour. This has been a family owned restaurant for over 50 years and they know how to do it right. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have been going to Continental Treat for many years! Consistently good food and service. A wonderful restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. The only disadvantage is that it is hard to find parking.A must to try is the dill pickle soup!

Reasonably priced with old fashioned service. Dill pickle soup may sound strange, but you have to try it!
