Chinese Szechuan Stir Fry - Edmonton

This restaurant offers a wide range of Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese food. My favoite is #36, a vermicelli bowl. I happily continue to go here frequently. Good parking in front of the restaurant, in the strip mall.

Great out of the way Chinese Takeaway. The food is excellent. Make sure you try the Szechuan Beef (it is called Crispy Ginger Beef here).

Going here for years. For the most part the food is pretty good. Haven’t really found anywhere else that is better. Great portions. Great selection. Enjoy supporting a family business.

Food was ok. The best item on the menu in my opinion was the Chicken noodle soup! Different method to prepare it, but I liked it a lot. The vegetarian spring rolls tasted too sweet for our liking. The chicken and broccoli was decent, but the broccoli was still a little too crisp for our liking. Overall, food was OK, but it seemed like it was missing more spices to really make the food more enjoyable. Oh yeah.....only received 2 packets of soy sauce for an order that was made for a family of 5. NOT COOL.

Thirty years ago in Edmonton, Szechuan style food was becoming more favoured over the old Westernized food called Chinese that did not really look like what people eat in China. I see this place is called Chinese Szechuan Stir Fry but their business card dropped the Chinese, I assume because Szechuan is now a word people know. The food still had that old style hint to it. I gave it 5 stars because our group of 3 all were very satisfied with the food, we had the entire restaurant to ourselves, except for people getting take out, and there was more food left over to take with us than what we filled up on. They recently (in the last 5 years) expanded into the pizza place that used to be next door. I think if you asked them for spicy they could deliver if that is where you like to go. They are not licensed for alcohol.
