We celebrated my first Mother's Day hereWhen you walk in, there is a sign where it says your meal will take 15 minutes to prepare.
Friendly service, good fish and chips, freshly made while you wait. Variety of fish to choose from. Menu also includes green onion cakes and some dim sum items.
We've been eating at Captain Scott's for years and have never been disappointed. Your meal is made for you only once you've ordered, so you never get soggy fries or heat lamp fish. Other reviewers have described their quirky menu which offers lots of choice for everyone in your party. We typically have cod and chips (and oh my, what chips they are - hand cut, prepared fresh and so so so good)! and the dim sum box. William, the owner and chief cook, is always so gracious, checking that we are okay with the wait, as the dim sum takes time to prepare. It's not actually that long, but I guess sometimes people expect everything in an instant. Good selection of sides (try their mushy peas with a bit of malt vinegar - yum.)! This is really the best place we've found in Edmonton for fish
We all had the cod special. It was well cooked -serving portions. Possibly a little small based on the price. The food quality was greatThe cook was very friendly. Loved the service. My finally thoughts, great food and service. Maybe priced slightly high for the serving portions.
