Arcadia Bar - Edmonton

The Arcadia is a small bar on a trendy street in Edmonton. The owner is a caring soul who organizes regular fundraisers for the homeless. He also sells only craft beers produced by small breweries in Alberta, some of which are excellent. The bar is also the only one i've encountered which is strictly vegetarian. No meat products there. But the pizzas he makes - complete with faux meat - are delicious. The bar is very popular, but only has seating for about 60, so it's best to go midweek unless you go early. Thursday nights have live music, with musicians from the area and an open mike. They can be fun. The Arcadia is really well run and only seems to attract nice people. Despite being a carnivore with a strong liking for meat, I enjoy eating the vegetarian pizzas, trying out new Alberta beers, and getting to know some of the regulars. It's a very welcoming place.

I recently visited Arcadia for the first time when my band played a show on their stage. While the stage and its accompanying equipment was limited it proved to be sufficient for a small indie band. Their food is quite tasty and the place smells delightfully like a pizzeria. All of their food seems to be either vegan or vegetarian with a vegan option. Despite the fact that I am not a vegan their food was undeniably edible. Their selection of local and craft beers and liqueurs was quite impressive. Overall a pretty chill and enjoyable place.

Just down to the north end of 124 street is where you will find Arcadia with it's Great vibe , Great Beers , Friendly service , Vegan and Vegetarian food served.Darin has a really special place that brings the neighborhood together.Also Kids are welcome until 9 and live music and trivia many nights.Check out the website to see what's happening daily.
