The Bonnington Leith - Edinburgh

Excellent dog friendly pub in Leith. Food was DELICIOUS staff were very friendly and efficient. Not just ordinary pub grub. Very high standard of food with daily specials. Reasonably priced with water treats for the dog. Definitely be back to try the venison with haggis.

One of the few good things that come out of the pandemic for me was the rediscovering of this fantastic food pub. It opens for breakfast on weekends, and always early enough for brunch. Pancake, large vegetable breakfast or traditional scarf. It's okay. Tip; the area below is better to eat, perfect for 1 to 4 people, but later groups should book. I try to work my way through the menu, but always distracted from the specials. Make sure you find out if they have any specials before ordering. Portions are good and the quality is top notch. I am constantly impressed by how fast The Bonnington Leith gets good food from the kitchen. It's absolutely a water I'm considering if I have time pressure. The Pho and the Burgers are my top recommendations. It is also worth calling the staff because it is great. Finally, they are one of the reasons why the service is so licked. They are friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldn't be shy about asking her for help, thoughts or opinions. I also saw how well the team here ensures that the COVID rules are complied with. I feel safe. Masks are worn and people sign themselves. Tip; not on the menu, but it is worth noting that it often tastes a stash of Gingerbeard Baking Goodies. Tables and toilets are clean. Doggos welcome. It is a smaller selection of foods than before, I miss the outer fun color, but my first impressions are good!

At first glance, it is a relatively small menu, but what is in the offer still lets you pamper for the choice. The food was brilliant, the staff attentive and friendly and everything in all a great event away from the noise and the ambience of Leith Walk. Will be back soon! (The time to publish their overall assessment was 4.5, which is good, but I think underestimated the place)
