Lucky Yu Canteen - Edinburgh

The signature wings are the best I've ever had in my life! The menu is small but the food is incredible. The atmosphere features great music, and the staff is very friendly. This is one of my favorite restaurants, and I highly recommend it!

Everything about this place is fantastic! I went with a friend, and we shared three dishes, along with some gyozas and appetizers. The standout starter was definitely the signature chicken wings—they were nearly perfect: delicious and crispy, exactly what you want in a wing. The ribs were also really tasty. We tried the aubergine and prawn tiger gyozas, which were excellent. I particularly loved the chicken bao here; it had just the right balance of flavor. The service was friendly and attentive, and our server made great recommendations. The atmosphere is small and cozy, with candlelight lending it a romantic vibe, perfect for a date. Make sure to try the wings—they're a must! Everything else we had was also fantastic. I’ll definitely be returning!

The restaurant is small, with only about six tiny tables (each seating just two), so I recommend making a reservation in advance, especially if you plan to dine there on the weekend. I did try calling several times, but no one picked up, so I had to visit in person the day before to secure a table. It’s a BYOB establishment, though they charge £1 for corkage and provide water and glasses. While the prices were slightly high considering the portion sizes, they felt reasonable given the quality of the food. We were two people, and with three or four dishes, our bill came to £46.50. There was only one waiter and possibly just one cook, but the food came out quickly, and the service was good overall.

Incredible food! very friendly and quick service. small little restaurant, but don't let them fool, it's absolutely worth a visit, ideal for a date or for a group to share Japanese little teller. each dish burst with taste and there was a lot to choose when veggie or vegan. the Tofu-Bu was incredible! and bitter was delicious and smooth.

Usually I am not a fan of Asian fusion food, but this is SO GOOD. Very interesting combinations, a bit sweet on my side. Will definitely come back and try more.
