In particular the ‘Tartlet of smoked cheese and cherry tomatoes’ was possibly my favourite dish I’ve eaten all year (I went in December). The taste was sublime and the delicate smoked cheese came across beautifully. I then had ‘sundried tomato courgette wrap with roasted baby potatoes’, absolutely incredible, with multiple different flavours and textures. The service was impeccable and the waiters were kind and friendly. I highly recommend visiting David Bann, you won’t find a better vegetarian restaurant in Edinburgh.
Lots of vegan options. The dishes were interesting and adventurous- which was a nice change from the usual vegan burger and falafel. Lovely helpful staff and really quick service- even though it was a busy Saturday night. I had a mojito mocktail which was delicious.
We stayed for a week in edinburgh and at the first night we had dinner at david bann’s, we enjoyed eating so much that we came back before we left the city. exquisite eating, great ingredients. the personal is friendly. we really recommend.
Excellent evening dinner last night in restaurant david bann. delicious vegan options on a fully vegetarian vegan menu. I had to start the spicy kofties with a delicious banana cahutney, with the youngs decide for olives, hummus and brot, and a particularly delicious suppe. the main thing of celeriac and kichererbsen curry wrap, beetroot and butter beans risotto, tofu noodles. I honestly had no place for dessert, but carl and alfie polished chocolate ice cream and the most amazing ingwereis and cake. a beautiful evening, great atmosphere and very friendly staff.
Was a bit of a let down. The food was pretty good but the wait for it was long and the portions were small. The Staff and service is amazing though and the atmosphere is romantic and classy.
