Cloud and floor were a few times mine. it is close to working and easy to get home. inside it is not too big, but it is warm and beautiful to meet friends. eating is nice, but not to write home. a beautiful place for a post-work drink, but not in my recommendations.

From the nice people in bond no cloud floor is a new cocktail bar and a restaurant that lives in a town house on picardy square. the rooms are modern, elegant and stylish. Enjoy one of the bars Signature cocktails – I recommend the botanical garden – in the lively bard on the ground floor or drive to the restaurant if you want to eat after something big. when they eat here, they have to be there. this is a great addition to the edinburgh bar scene.

Brand sparkles new cocktail bar in edinburghs eastern end. I must say, despite the overhaul, the place is not particularly welcoming and I did not find the seats particularly comfortable. However, the quality of cocktails is certainly not in doubt and the environment are chic and plowing.

I've been twice to Clouds and Soil now and both times have been the only occupied table in the bar. The first time was a rather rainy Saturday night and my husband and I enjoyed the cocktails but left in search of somewhere with a bit more atmosphere. Went with friends for Friday post work drinks a few weeks later and left early due to no atmosphere and the woefully slow service (no excuses when staff outnumber patrons). Disappointingly all draft beer was off a shame as they had a nice selection. It's a nice space and could be a great bar. I think part of the problem is that it's difficult to tell it's a bar from the street so perhaps not an obvious spot for drinks.
