Carlo's Fish Bar And Restaurant

Discovered this restaurant by chance during our vacation at Seton Sands. The food was delicious and there were plenty of options on the menu to choose from. The fact that it was a sit-down restaurant was a nice bonus.

The food arrived cold and the batter was soggy with grease. I had requested salt and sauce on everything, which may have been a mistake on my part. When I called to complain about the lack of sauce, the girl on the phone was rude and I could hear the owner being rude in the background as well. A more decent response would have been to explain that they had followed my request for sauce, apologizing if it seemed dry upon arrival. Instead, I received attitude. This was the third time I had experienced such poor customer service and I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Stayed at the nearby holiday park and we just looked for somewhere to get a takeaway. Hit upon this place and gave it a go. Great decision. The on-line app was easy to use and gave us a discount (on prices which were very reasonable to start with). Service was quick (we ended up using this place 3 times and each time our wait inside shop was <5 mins). Key thing was the quality of food, as we went three times (and there were 7 of us) we basically tried a lot of the items. From normal suppers, through 16 inch pizzas, burgers etc. All of the food appeared to be freshly prepared and was great. Choices of salad (which was also varied); big portions. No downsides whatsoever. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Large fish supper has nice tasting batter is thin and a bargain at £8 I will definitely be visiting Carlos soon.

We were in at 4.30 just as it opened I had a fish supper which was excellent the wife had scampi supper which she said was nice but scampi a bit overcooked my eldest had chicken burger as they had no beef burger she was impressed with what she had and polished it off and my youngest had nugget supper which she ate. Only negative was that we did want to eat in the restaurant but was told we couldn't due to staff shortage. Oh well food was good which made up for it.
