Formerly the Newhaven branch of Harbour of Siam, the restaurant had faced challenges due to the success of their Broughton Street location. However, the owners saw this as an opportunity to try something new, leading to the creation of C-Shack. I had dinner at this restaurant on Monday and absolutely adored it. The food was fantastic, everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. The dining room was cozy with only two walls and a central communal table where guests could share with others. In addition to the small menu, there were also some delicious specials, as the menu changes depending on the daily catch. The drink options could have been a bit more diverse, but that's a minor issue. The view of the Newhaven harbor at sunset was especially stunning and I can't wait to return soon!
Wonderful food wine! is definitely recommended! fun venue with nautical thema just a handful of tables, so make sure they book in advance. started with crab salad, then lemon sole with garnel other of our party had lobster chips and meeresbass with chorizo everything fabulous. finished with a brownie and a coffee ice cream!
C-Shack is a really good new supplement and represents an excellent decision of the owner to change direction
Rises from its inconvenient front on newhaven harbour, its first sight is from a brand new establishment that has tried to mix white-leather and pine poles with a confused sense of tumble-down. it is a pokey small place, but there is cozy away from the big gray harbour outside. a visit to the birthday of a friend on a blowing Wednesday evening, I couldn't fail to be impressed by C-Shack's meere's offer. the waiter gave a substantial passage through the equally essential special board, which was associated with fresh and diverse. most of our party could not stay away from the scalopps that sound excellent, but I took the sea red thun on a jalapeno and cucumber...read more
