Love the potatoes and gravy. Old school cooking at its best.

OH YEAH.. The place looks like a greasy spoon... get over it. i dont think its been remodeled since jimmy carter was president, so what... eat the chicken, thats what you are there for. Edenton doesnt have decent chinese food, and I dont know what that stuff is that passes for pizza.but fried chicken ? oh yeah we got that ! as good as any place north of the equator.

Great Fried Chicken. This restaurant is best for when you wanting some fried chicken. The many times I have eaten here the chicken has be consistently delicious. The biscuits are offered 2 ways, fluffy of flat. They also have other things on the menu such as some seafood and Bar-B-Que, but if your going to make the pilgrimage to Edenton you really need to eat the chicken. Also, bring cash because they don't take credit cards.

While I agree that the staff can be rude at times, I must say that the chicken is absolutely delicious, especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays! It's important to remember that this isn't a fast-food restaurant, so it's unrealistic to expect the food to always be ready immediately. Personally, I prefer my food fresh and hot, so I don't mind waiting a bit. As for the decor, it's quite plain, but the focus should really be on the food, not the ambience. I do believe they could improve on cleanliness, and not all of the staff have a bad attitude.
