This is our second visit here and I'm still at a loss for words to describe this place..The staff is awesome and the food is almost too good! The atmosphere is warm and nice, they make you feel like family as soon as you walk in that door! Pro tip: order "kleine steak" trust me!

Book a table or risk being disappointed! This place in the heart of old Eckernforde is tiny and was absolutely packed when we got there at 7:30pm. Our table was waiting with its reserved sign, thank goodness! Try this very popular place for its great, buzzy atmosphere. It's a pub, really, with a limited menu. Though in a fishing port, it isn't a fish restaurant. There was just one type of fish (chilled herring). Also no white meat options. Nevertheless, the food tasted delicious - steaks perfectly cooked. It was great fun to sit and watch all the activity in such a popular place. Waitress was delightful and juggling everything with a smile. Not surprising this is such a popular local as it oozes character. Cash only. And no desserts. Finish with a potent raspberry schnapps instead!
