Fish in a flash echuca

The chips were the best part of our order. The rest was below average. There was more batter than actual fish inside the flake, calamari rings had too much batter and 2 were imbedded in fish pieces. The potato cakes we ordered were not included so we had to wait while they were cooked and the staff were clearly not concentrating on their jobs. Very disappointed and pricey for what ended up with!

3 of us went with high expectations,only people in so shop so they weren't rushed. Had the fishermans basket and the family pack,all food was very greasy and bland. Wouldn't go back there again.

Fish in a Flash is regarded by The Age and the Herald Sun as the best regional fish n chippery in Victoria.And rightfully so.Recently my wife and I dropped into this chippery and decided to give it a go.Not realising it was in high regard.I must say the menu choices are of the typical fish n chip shop. But we decided to go the fisherman's basket for 2 at a reasonable price tag of $20.We were definitely not disappointed.The fish was well battered and cooked nicely.The highlight is the best battered prawns.Battered beautifully, a nice n creamy and not overcooked at all on the inside.Only downside was some bits were a tad bit oilyOverall experience here is a good one.Comes with a 4.5 out of 5 from me.

This was by far the best seafood on our au trip. good portions and very tasty. Had a small bar and a couple of tables to eat at. Good service and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Supposedly the best regional fish and chips in regional Victoria. Not even close in my estimation. I had the calamari pack. My wife's fish was good. My calamari was OK. Tiny serves of chips, very poor and small potato cakes. The advertised slice of lemon was totally absent in both our packs. Couldn't recommend.
