We came to this restaurant for a work event and I ordered the Asian chicken salad, which I found to be extremely uncomfortable. Upon contacting the restaurant, I learned from the chef that the chicken had been frozen two days prior, cooked in the morning, and reheated later that night when I ordered it. I became dehydrated to the point where I thought I needed medical attention, but when I expressed my concerns at the restaurant, the cook did not even apologize. I would not return to this establishment and do not recommend it. One of our group members who was vegetarian could only order risotto, but unfortunately it was not available. They were offered a vegetarian pasta option instead, which turned out to be inedible. Thankfully, our group bonded over the disappointing food. Our last meal took over 3 hours to arrive after ordering, which would have been understandable if we had not made a reservation. However, the restaurant made no effort to accommodate our large group.
What once was a fine decor, unfortunately, has lost all the charm. As far as chefs go, they have more sales than a bakery. Bar employees are lazy and rude. The hotel is located on a busy highway its outdoor lighting (only the feeling of the presence of the road) can be found...from 7 a.m. Owners should really consult the management as bad reputation for making a hard sale.
Called in for a beer and people were friendly as were the staff enjoyed it immensely. Beer was cold, had a pool table and juke box fun afternoon.
This hidden gem, The Falcon, needs to be discovered by more than just locals! I was introduced to this restaurant by a relative who lives in Echuca, and despite its convenient location on the highway, it seems that only locals are frequenting it. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and even though it was a Thursday night, the restaurant was only half full, which was surprising considering how good the food was. Located just a short ten-minute drive from Echuca central, The Falcon is a bit out of town but worth the trip. Simply head towards Shepparton on the Murray Valley Highway, and you'll find it on the northern side of the highway.
